For the first time in their 50-plus years of service, the not-for-profit hospital network sought to truly celebrate the season for patients and families with a meaningful and memorable holiday activation. The experience would need a master plan to scale across the entire hospital network, incorporating state-of-the art technical production while also keeping Kettering brand values at the forefront. There were also multiple technical challenges at each property to keep in mind.
Kettering is dedicated to spreading joy and love to their patients and the community. To help further that mission, we turned to light—a timeless holiday symbol of healing and hope—and created Lights of Love: Cutting edge light shows designed to bring joy and delight to the hospital’s patients and community. In addition to the shows, we created a logo, décor package and custom soundtrack, including an original anthem song to celebrate the mission for this initiative.
The plan was so well received that our activation was green-lit for execution across ten properties for year one and executed within just two months—including international custom product fabrication. The experience received strong community feedback and media attention. By season’s end, Lights of Love had magnified Kettering’s mission to spread joy and love, both inside and outside of their hospitals.
