Challenge
Following a dramatic budget cut for a live, nationally televised Rock ‘n Roll Fashion Special, Macy’s asked us to create, produce, and direct a production with limited resources and just four months until airtime.
Strategy
Leveraging the peak popularity of Broadway blockbusters Wicked and Hairspray, we conceptualized and produced a show featuring stars from Broadway, paired with top models and designs. Combined with music from the hit shows, we executed an original Broadway-based fashion show that brought with it a pre-existing fan base.
Results
The production solidified Macy’s storied relationship with Broadway and received critical acclaim, taking home an Emmy Award for RWS in the Special Events Category.
